Susie Lee is originally from Buffalo, NY and moved to Hawaii in 1977 to stay with her aunt and uncle for six months. Six months turned into forty four years! Susie worked as a registered nurse for forty years in pediatrics, recovery room, home health, geriatrics, occupational nursing, and wound care. Susie has worked with patients from birth in pediatrics to dying in home health and geriatrics. Upon retiring in 2017 she volunteers as a guardian at Iolani Palace (the only palace in the US), Hawaii Kidney Foundation (kidney donor 2011), Hawaii Medical Reserve Corp( assisting with mass Covid 19 vaccinations) and increased volunteer time with Kokua Mau, a trusted resource for accurate information on advance care planning(ACP) as well as hospice and palliative care.
