David Sine obtained his BScN/RN and medical degree at McMaster University in Canada. He completed his Pediatric Residency at UCSD/Rady Children’s Hospital, and served as Chief Resident. Following residency he accepted a position as a teaching attending and Hospitalist at Rady Children’s Hospital. He and his wife Kealani, also a pediatrician, moved to central California 21 years ago to raise their three daughters (Malia Kalei and Leiana) in a more rural setting. They were Hospitalists and then opened their own practice 4 years ago. David now works with his wife and in a rural clinic for underserved/special needs children. He serves as the Medical Director for Palliative Care at Valley Children’s Hospital performing consultations and teaching the UCSF HPM fellows one day a week. He has been the Medical Director for Tulare Pediatric Hospice for over 10 years and Hinds Hospice for over a year.
