Danielle Jonas is a pediatric palliative care social worker on the Comfort and Palliative Care Team at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), where she works closely with patients and families throughout all stages of illness to care for their psychosocial needs.
She is the team’s palliative care support and bereavement counselor, dedicated to providing end-of-life education and comprehensive grief support for families and CHLA staff. Ms. Jonas obtained her Master’s in Social Work from Indiana University in 2014, and completed an inter-professional fellowship in pediatric palliative care through Harvard Medical School at Boston Children’s Hospital/Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in 2015.
She has presented at numerous national palliative care conferences and has published an article on the role of pediatric palliative care in providing staff support in the Journal of Palliative Medicine. Ms. Jonas is committed to furthering the field of pediatric palliative care social work.
